12. Guide to line marking


An Idiots guide to the Line Marking machine

  • Ensure the battery is fully charged
  • To check the battery, connect the red crocodile clip under the bonnet to the battery’s + terminal. The LED display on the top of the machine will indicate remaining battery power. Remember to disconnect after testing.
  • Ensure the Basket Filter is clean and in position
  • Fill tank with required level of water and then add paint (Always put water in first)
  • Ratio of paint to water is roughly 1 part paint to 3 or 4 parts water.
  • Ensure Paint/Water tap is on paint
  • To circulate paint open Flow Control Tap (lever placed parallel to pipework) and switch Pump on. Switch Pump off when mixing complete.
  • Screw lid down securely.
  • To begin marking, close Flow Control Tap (lever at 90 degrees to pipework ) switch Pump on, and walk forward at required marking speed.
  • After Marking, ensure the Clean Water Tank at the rear is filled with clean water.
  • Flush the system through by switching the Paint/Water tap to water, then run the Pump for at least 20 seconds until clean water is sprayed from the nozzle.
  • If the Flow Control valve was used, purge the return pipe by opening Flow Control
  • Clean the tank, drain paint via the Drain Plug on the side of the Tank Body.
  • Always rinse out the Basket Filter.
  • Re-Charge the battery
